If you’re interested in becoming a hypnotherapist, this is the place to look. The UK College run a special hypnotherapy diploma award called the Diploma in Cognitive-Behavioural Hypnotherapy, based on mainstream peer-reviewed research on hypnosis and psychotherapy. This course has been running for about a decade and is well-known in the hypnotherapy field. It was carefully designed to meet the accreditation criteria of the main hypnotherapy registers and to lead to registration as a hypnotherapy practitioner. It is externally accredited by several of the leading organisations in the field.

Hypnotherapy Diploma Course: Content & Syllabus
Cognitive-behavioural hypnotherapy (CBH) is a popular topic of research in current scientific journals in the field of hypnotherapy.
Training focuses on practical face-to-face classroom exercises and group learning with rigorous online assessment following completion of the classroom training. Stage one focuses on the core skills of a hypnotherapist whereas stage 2 deals with behavioural psychology and interventions in hypnotherapy and stage 3 addresses cognitive concepts and techniques. The whole training provides a thorough grounding in modern cognitive-behavioural hypnotherapy.

Attendance and Course Dates
The Diploma training is divided into the following three stages, each of which is repeated several times a year. They can be taken close together or spread over a year, giving you complete flexibility when planning your training. Each stage consists of seven days of classroom training, a total of 168 hours over 21 days. Classes run from 10.30am to 6.00pm each day.
Stage 1 Foundation Certificate in Evidence-Based Hypnotherapy
This stage is made up of seven days of training and must be completed before progressing on to stage 2. It can also be taken as a standalone course for therapists, and an attendance certificate will be provided.
Stage 2 Advanced Certificate in Cognitive-Behavioural Hypnotherapy
This stage is made up of seven days of classroom training. It must be completed before progressing on to stage 3 of the diploma.
Stage 3 Diploma in Cognitive-Behavioural Hypnotherapy
This stage is made up of seven days of classroom training.

The foundation certificate can also be completed as a stand-alone course for registered therapists interested in adding hypnosis to their existing practice. · Students attending the hypnotherapy diploma course must be aged 18 or over.
· Students should have no history of criminal convictions or sanctions by professional organisations which might reflect upon their suitability to practice as a therapist.
· Students should be sufficiently fluent in spoken English to engage with English-speaking clients.
· Students must be in suitable mental health for training, e.g., without a history of psychotic symptoms or current mental health problems of a serious nature, which may impair their ability to act as a therapist..
