Hypnotherapy Training

February 28th, 2013

Do you wish to become a hypnotherapist? Then quality training is essential. Without it you will not be able to deliver satisfactory outcomes to your clients and you will have no solid foundation upon which to build your professional career.
My own training took place at the National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy. I had the privilege of being taught by Dr John Butler and Mr David Howie, teachers for whom I have the very highest regard and feel the deepest gratitude.
However, those seeking hypnotherapy training outside of London might like to consider the UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy, founded and run by Donald Roberston, a published author and a clinician of vast knowledge and experience. What follows is a summary of the UK College’s Hypnotherapy Diploma Course. This information comes from the UK College’s website, with the permission of the owner. Hypnotherapy Diploma Course: Content & Syllabus
Cognitive-behavioural hypnotherapy (CBH) is a popular topic of research in current scientific journals in the field of hypnotherapy.
Training focuses on practical face-to-face classroom exercises and group learning with rigorous online assessment following completion of the classroom training. Stage one focuses on the core skills of a hypnotherapist whereas stage 2 deals with behavioural psychology and interventions in hypnotherapy and stage 3 addresses cognitive concepts and techniques. The whole training provides a thorough grounding in modern cognitive-behavioural hypnotherapy.
